Falernum is a liqueur used as a base in tropical cocktails. Traditionally made from limes, almonds and cloves, it comes in many combinations including ours.

Ingredients

  • 4 limes
  • 25 grams of fresh ginger
  • 15 toasted almonds
  • 15 cloves
  • 15 cl of Tijuca Single Organic Cachaça
  • 20 cl of cane sugar syrup

Preparation

  • 1. Grate the limes to remove all the zest.
  • 2. Cut the ginger into small pieces and chop the almonds.
  • 3. Add 15 cl of Tijuca Single Organic Cachaça and the cloves.
  • 4. Leave to infuse for at least 24 hours, shaking the jar regularly.
  • 5. Strain through cheesecloth and discard solids.
  • 6. Mix everything with 20 cl of cane sugar syrup and leave to stand.
