Falernum is a liqueur used as a base in tropical cocktails. Traditionally made from limes, almonds and cloves, it comes in many combinations including ours.
Ingredients
- 4 limes
- 25 grams of fresh ginger
- 15 toasted almonds
- 15 cloves
- 15 cl of Tijuca Single Organic Cachaça
- 20 cl of cane sugar syrup
Preparation
- 1. Grate the limes to remove all the zest.
- 2. Cut the ginger into small pieces and chop the almonds.
- 3. Add 15 cl of Tijuca Single Organic Cachaça and the cloves.
- 4. Leave to infuse for at least 24 hours, shaking the jar regularly.
- 5. Strain through cheesecloth and discard solids.
- 6. Mix everything with 20 cl of cane sugar syrup and leave to stand.
